Society has grossly overlooked the mental, health, environmental, and social advantages of a nudist lifestyle

The benefits of a nudist lifestyle:
Naturist lifestyle - While many in America urgently seek options for the essential difficulties resulting from today's shallow, materialistic, unsustainable, environmentally damaging, socially isolated, emotionally disconnected, mentally trying, and physically sedentary consumer lifestyles, no reference is made by mainstream society of one important lifestyle feature of many longstanding sustainable societies and native peoples in less industrialized areas around the world (and historically by indigenous individuals within our own region), specifically that of naturism.
Advantages of a nudist lifestyle
While naturists in the developed world have for ages been aware of the emotional, health, environmental, and societal benefits of spending private, family, and social time clothes free, we've been mostly silent in sharing this info with mainstream society. The advantages of naturism or naturism are not even mentioned on popular environmental and sustainable design sites including Treehugger, or Inhabitat. Wellness sites for example WebMD return zero results for naturism. Even social movements which should clearly encompass naturism, including the promotion of holistic, sustainable, lifestyle practices is largely divorced from, and ignorant of, naturism. Naturism remains a stepchild, remote, hidden, shunned, and mostly ignored by more popular holistic health and wellness, community participation, and environmental sustainability movements.
We naturists cannot remain silent if we want to pass on the advantages of naturism to bigger society, preserve them for future generations, and even retain them for ourselves. Naturism is under attack. It's an attack of words, mostly uninformed words and knee jerk rhetorical questions based in fear and dream, occasionally inflamed by the misbehavior of a couple disrespectful, socially irresponsible individuals. We must actively participate the movements which have yet to mention us in purposeful discussion of the values and advantages related to the practice of naturism.

We must do this, not only for our own good, but for the healing of our larger society which just becomes possible when truly broader and more inclusive holistic sustainable lifestyle choices and public policy choices are brought to the table.
