Discover Ithaca's lovely Unclothed Swimming Hole - Potter's Falls
Potter's Falls! Like us, you may have heard a lot about Potter's Falls in Ithaca New York. It is part of the heavily wooded Six Mile Creek stream and reservoir system which supply water for the city of Ithaca. Since Potter's Falls appears to get as much attention, FKK Upstate NY determined to see just how nudist-friendly Potter's Falls really is. So, this past summer we made a total of three day visits.
Before getting into the interesting things, I want to start with a few disclaimers. Technically, swimming in Six Mile Creek is prohibited. When it comes to nudity, with the exclusion of top freedom that is legal in New York, it's prohibited as described by public law.
As far as law enforcement, within the Six Mile Creek preserve, the authorities appear most concerned with dangerous jumping that goes on a ? mile or so downstream of Potter's Falls at a spot referred to as the Upper Falls Reservoir. This place, not to be mistaken with Potter's Falls, is defined by a very large concrete dam which impounds a small lake. This can be a hot spot for high school and college kids who jump off the high rocky cliffs behind the dam.
This dangerous and banned activity is the theme of frequent patrolling by local authorities, as it has resulted in some very serious accidents.
With regards to locating Potter's Falls, it is about an hour hike upstream of the parking area at Wild Flower Park on Giles Street, in Ithaca. At some places as you go along, the hike is demanding with some steep hills to climb. For a considerably shorter hike, it is possible to park upstream of Wild Flower Park along NYS RT 79 and trek in from the highway. Getting the younger naturists and naturists involved is proving to be a more difficult task than some people believed!
Propagating the Word: Ways to get the younger nudist generation involved
Younger Naturists - Naturism, though adopted and appreciated by many, is often an unexpressed and ignored whim by the younger generation. Oh sure, they've probably thought about the idea of freeing themselves, but usually, the younger generation considers any type of expression not accepted by their peers as taboo.

Does Facebook Really Love Moobies?

Having said that, male breasts - "Moobies" - are fully okay and uncensored. Not only is this hypocritical, but the entire guidelines for censorship are exorbitant.
Moreover, Facebook is creating a high level of constraint for art. Did you know that Facebook does not consider photography as a valid art form? That is what gives them the right to take down any images. Artistic or pornographic, for Facebook they're no different. We learned this shortly after the New Yorker's "Nipplegate" episode when they were forced to describe their censorship policy.
Moobies or Male Breasts Continue To Be An Issue For Facebook!
The nudity ban is creating lots of critique among users also. Now that https://s3.amazonaws.com/naturist2020/granny-beach-sex.html has explained that nude cartoons are totally acceptable you are able to feel free to post them. But can you really? Who understands since Facebook removes pretty much whatever gets reported. Therefore young nudist videos are not in line with their own guidelines.

It was a different group of women (it's NYC), and I enjoyed that women could bring their kids. I am thinking children are allowed in the men's unclothed section as well, but my male friend said he didn't see any. Most of the women seemed entirely comfortable. We were mainly all strangers to each other, but it still had a communal feel to it. It was a Saturday, so it was pretty packed and near impossible to get your own jet spot.

Here's where it got uncomfortable, though. That meant I had to put clothes on over my wet bathing suit to go downstairs. What's more uneasy than a wet bathing suit? Dry garments over a wet bathing suit. Despite sitting in a few saunas for a while, my bathing suit took forever to dry, and the clothes became immediately damp.
(No changing rooms on the upper floors.) The uniforms are totally unnecessary for the saunas. It's just forced modesty. This spot could be totally naked, and it'd make a lot more sense. But this can be the Korean tradition.
The saunas in and of themselves are fantastic though. A few are of the same dome shape, but otherwise they all vary in temperature or kind. The dome saunas have different interior walls lined with jade stone, gold, mineral salt and others. You will find also two infrared saunas and a color therapy sauna where you can sit in the aura of different colored lights. Each sauna is assumed to offer an alternate healing encounter, and there is an advice tablet to read about them.
There are water coolers on each floor where you are able to drink out of tiny paper cups of the thinnest paper you can picture. It is literally a cup of average printer-paper thickness, but it seems to hold up.
Entrance is a flat rate of $50 (the Manhattan location is a bit higher priced at $65). This gives you access to all the facilities. Your uniform and little towels (hand towels) are included, but everything else is additional. They nickel and dime you a tiny bit, as the saying goes. It is better to bring your own full size towel, but you can even rent one for $2. It's a barefoot facility, but if you desire footwear, it's necessary for you to buy their slippers ($5). Beverages (particularly alcoholic) and food are extremely expensive. watch nudist are twice the typical amount. That is unfortunate, as a massage could really add to the encounter.
Some might say the entry fee is a bit much, but the facilities actually are very nice. The bathing suit and uniform requirements merely put a damper (literally) on the encounter. During a volleyball story for Fox Sportscaster, the newscasters advised Dave that they'd blur out the faces and particular body parts of the nude beach users and never name the playa.
